Mark Zuckerberg Orders Facebook Employees to Use Android and Leave iPhones!

Published Date : 2018-11-16 06:24:31
Majority of the Facebook staff members doesn't use Apple iPhones running on iOS. Rather they now use Android cell phones. It isn't so much that there is some kind of problem with the iPhones or that they don't like the gadget, it's essentially on the grounds that they have been ordered not to use the Apple phone. Also, the order clearly came straightforwardly from the top.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has supposedly ordered his employees to use just Android cell phones. What provoked this strange decision was a comment by Apple CEO Tim Cook, in which he took an inconspicuous jibe at the social networking organization for being amidst the biggest data security scandal ever, the Cambridge Analytica controversy.

Cook, in an MSNBC interview, unpretentiously criticized Facebook over information security, "We're not going to traffic in your own life," Cook said in the meeting including, "Privacy to us is a human right. It's a common freedom." Then once more, when Recode's Kara Swisher asked Cook what he might do on the off chance that he was Mark Zuckerberg, Cook answered, "I wouldn't be in this situation."
As per a report by the New York Times that gives a definite record of what went inside Facebook following the Russian interference and the organization's consequent handling of the Cambridge Analytica controversy, Cook's remarks infuriated Zuckerberg. He later ordered his management to use Android telephones, arguing that the mobile operating system had a more extensive client base compared with Apple's.

Outstandingly, in addition to the fact that Zuckerberg passed an order restricting the iPhones from Facebook, he also reacted to Cook's remark saying that he found them to be "extremely glib".

"I believe it's important that we don't all get Stockholm syndrome and let the organizations that work hard to charge you more convince you that they really care more about you. Since that sounds ridiculous to me," the Facebook founder told Vox in a meeting.

Soon after, Facebook's COO, Sheryl Sandberg in an interview with Recode said that she "respectfully disagrees" with Cook's critique.

Be that as it may, Facebook's offense against Apple didn't stop right there. As indicated by NYT, the organization likewise promoted negative articles about Apple on a conservative news site called the NTK Network. Tim Millers disclosed to NYT that while Apple not a direct contender to Facebook, the online networking platform’s acts were fueled by the organization's criticism of the platform.
